B Eat Berries is a young and promising company in the agricultural sector, established in 2022, with a focus on cultivating high-quality blueberries for both local and international markets. Located in the village of Poçestë, Peja, the company operates in an area with favorable agro-climatic conditions for growing soft fruits. In April 2023, B Eat Berries began planting a modern blueberry plantation with the DUKE variety, known for its high yield, uniform size, and excellent flavor. Today, the plantation boasts over 8,000 seedlings, carefully managed using sustainable and modern agricultural practices. With a clear vision for growth and export to European markets, the company aims to set new standards in blueberry cultivation and processing in Kosovo. Through commitment, modern technology, and a deep respect for the land, B Eat Berries is on the path to becoming one of the leading blueberry producers in the country.

The company cultivates a total of 5 hectares of soft fruits, organized in a structured manner and managed according to modern agricultural standards. The cultivated area is distributed as follows: 3 hectares of blueberries (Vaccinium corymbosum), grown under controlled conditions with modern irrigation and fertigation systems, suitable for both fresh market and processing; 1.7 hectares of raspberries (Rubus idaeus), cultivated in well-managed plots ensuring high yields and consistent product quality; 0.3 hectares of blackberries (Rubus fruticosus) and strawberries (Fragaria × ananassa), intended for the local market and for niche value-added production. All areas are equipped with modern agricultural infrastructure, including drip irrigation systems, climate protection measures, and post-harvest storage facilities, ensuring maximum freshness and product traceability. The company is committed to sustainable farming practices, combining experience with innovation to deliver premium quality fruits to both domestic and international markets.

Berrykode is a modern, high-standard blueberry orchard located in the village of Maxhunaj, in the municipality of Vushtrri, northern Kosovo. Spanning a total area of 6 hectares, the orchard is fully planted with blueberries cultivated in pots (substrate-based production)—a method that allows for optimal control over nutrition and root environment, ensuring high yield and superior fruit quality. The plantation is organized into well-structured blocks, each equipped with an automated fertigation system that integrates advanced irrigation and fertilization techniques. The system is climate-responsive, allowing precise management of plant needs in real time. To safeguard production against adverse weather conditions, the entire orchard is covered with an anti-hail netting system, protecting the fruit during its most vulnerable stages. This not only ensures harvest reliability but also improves fruit appearance and quality—key factors for accessing premium export markets. Berrykode is equipped with refrigerated storage facilities built to international standards, enabling rapid post-harvest cooling and storage. This infrastructure helps maintain product freshness, nutritional value, and shelf life, particularly for export. The company integrates modern agricultural management practices, including digital monitoring of soil and climate conditions, and invests in workforce training for harvesting and post-harvest handling. Berrykode aims to serve as a regional benchmark for high-tech blueberry orchards and contribute to the overall advancement of Kosovo’s agricultural sector through innovation and excellence.

In 2015, after returning from the Netherlands with over 20 years of experience and a strong professional network, we launched a pilot project in Vitomirica, Peja. Our goal was to implement European blueberry cultivation theories, strictly adhering to EU standards and market requirements. In the initial phase, we received support from USAID, which provided us with a modern irrigation system. During 2019–2020, we received an additional grant and became a strategic partner of USAID, with our activities being regularly monitored by the organization. Our focus is on growing blueberries for the fresh European market, ensuring that every harvested fruit meets the highest quality standards. Currently, 99% of our production is exported. A key part of our model is the exclusive employment of women in the harvesting process, with the number of female workers increasing every year. Since the beginning, USAID has supported the development of our workforce, and together we have invested in essential training and certification processes, building a strong foundation for sustainable growth.

BERRYLAND BIO is a company with a long-standing tradition in the collection and processing of natural products, established in 1991 in Ferizaj, Kosovo. Initially focused on the wild harvesting of mushrooms, blueberries, and medicinal herbs, the company steadily expanded its processing capacities and built a reliable export network to European markets. Through its long-term commitment to quality and sustainability, BERRYLAND BIO has positioned itself as a leader in the agribusiness and natural product processing sector. The company collaborates with hundreds of local foragers, contributing significantly to rural economic development and the preservation of biodiversity through sustainable harvesting practices.

Pestova is one of the most recognized agro-industrial companies in Kosovo, established in 1991 and based in the municipality of Vushtrri. The company specializes in the cultivation, processing, and packaging of potatoes, as well as the production of potato-based products, including the popular ready-to-eat chips brand "Vipa Chips." Combining modern technology with local expertise, Pestova has developed a fully integrated production system, controlling all stages—from seed to final product. The company cooperates with hundreds of local farmers to ensure high-quality raw materials, contributing significantly to the development of agriculture and the rural economy in Kosovo. Pestova is certified under international standards such as Global GAP, ISO 22000, and HACCP, ensuring food safety and top-quality products for both local and international markets. Today, Pestova represents a success story in Kosovo’s agri-food industry and serves as a model of sustainable development and innovation in the agricultural sector.

Kemi Fruits is a company specialized in the collection and export of soft fruits, established in 2017 in the village of Teneshdoll. With a strong commitment to quality and high production standards, the company operates a modern collection center with a processing capacity of 300 tons, ensuring optimal storage and handling of agricultural products. Kemi Fruits currently cultivates 5 hectares of raspberries, of which 0.5 hectares are grown in protected environments (greenhouses), allowing for extended production seasons and consistent quality throughout the year. Since 2024, the company has expanded its operations internationally, entering global markets for the export of both fresh and frozen raspberries, positioning itself as a reliable partner for international buyers. In addition to exports, Kemi Fruits also supplies the local market with fresh and processed products, contributing to the development of the agri-food sector in Kosovo.

JONI-SH LLC – Founded in 2015 in Ballofc, Podujevë, Joni-SH is a company specialized in the collection, processing, and packaging of raspberries and strawberries. With modern storage capacities of up to 2,000 tons and high food safety standards, the company exports also its frozen products to local and international markets under the brand JFrosty, ensuring top quality and natural taste for consumers. Thanks to its experience and trusted partnerships, Joni-SH has become one of the leading players in Kosovo’s frozen fruit sector, contributing to the growth of agriculture and the local economy.

AGRO BOREA is a family business established in 2020, with the aim of developing the professional cultivation of blueberries in Kosovo. Since the beginning, we have been committed to producing high-quality blueberries for both the local and international markets, applying modern cultivation practices and high-quality standards. Eurofruti L.L.C. was founded in 2001 in Mramor – Prishtina, but has been operating since the 1970s as a family business. Today, it is one of the leading companies in Kosovo in the collection, processing, and export of berries, mushrooms, and frozen products. With more than 23 collection centers and cooperation with over 1,000 contracted farmers, the company has built a strong supply network in Kosovo and the region. Its capacities include modern processing lines with IQF technology, freezing capacity of up to 30 tons per 24 hours, and storage capacity of over 2,500 tons in cold storage facilities equipped with advanced laser sorting, cleaning, and packaging technology in line with international standards. Eurofruti’s products include frozen fruits such as raspberries, blueberries, strawberries, blackberries, sour cherries, and plums, as well as frozen and fresh mushrooms such as Boletus edulis and Cantharellus cibarius. In addition to industrial packaging for export, the company has also developed retail packaging through its brand Minus Zero Foods, launched in 2024, offering premium frozen fruits in 450 g packs and other selected products for supermarket chains in local and international markets.
